3 Countries Cycle Challenge M.S. Trust 12-14 October 2012

This challenge is a fantastic experience, joining three of Europe's most historic cities, while cycling through some of the most picturesque countryside in Europe, our journey takes us from England through the Flemish region of France, Belgium and Holland where nearly 85 percent of the population own at least one bike, so you're sure to receive a warm welcome.
This fully supported challenge allows you to enjoy some of the best cycling in Europe.

Day 1: Dunkerque to Bruges.
We start our challenge at the dover ferry terminal where you will be met by your support crew and trip leader, on arrival in Dunkerque we set off via cycle paths along the coastal roads of Northern France over the border to Belguim where we stop for lunch in the Belgian resort of Neiwport. After a supurb lunch we set once again for our first nights stop in the Historic city of Bruges. After dinner we have the opportunity to explore one of Europe's best preserved medieval cities and sample the famous beers and chocolates that Belguim is famous for.
Day 2: Bruges to Ypres.
After a hearty breakfast we say goodbye to the beautiful city of Bruges and hit the road once more heading for the border of Holland, our third country, where we have a brief stop in the delightful Dutch town of sluisse for coffee and cake. We then set off via cycle path to our next destination the historic fortified town of Ypres famous for its battle fields. After dinner we can witness the last post at the historical and famous Menin Gate.
Day 3: Ypres to Dunkerque
After first passing through the town of Poperinge famous for its' hop fields and local beers, we cycle to what is the only significant climb of the challenge to the town of Cassel, where the views at the top make it worth the climb, and a well-deserved early lunch. After lunch we begin our final leg of our journey back to Dunkerque where our ferry awaits.

Cycling Information:
Support vehicles are with the group at all times, All luggage and spares will be carried in the support vehicles. The cycling is mainly over rolling countryside, Distances are fairly long averaging 65 miles per day.
