After spending 12 years guiding overland adventures to all pockets of the world from the African continent to the length of South America and across China, Jim returned to his Welsh routes in Snowdonia retaining an immense passion for travel and enthusiasm to show more people the hidden secrets the world has to offer. So in 1998 Jim made the leap to set up Adventurous Ewe and share his never ending passion for adventure travel taking small groups to a wide variety of destinations, including the good ole classic like Kilimanjaro and the Great Wall of China to the much more remote and off the beaten track corners of the globe such as Patagonia and the Arctic Circle.
If Jim isn’t showing you some hidden treasures of the places you’ll venture too or meeting local people (he’s a bit of a celebrity in Morocco with endless handshakes and the echoes of ‘Jims’ following him down the dusty roads of Imlil), then he’s probably sharing some of his really bad jokes. However rest assured there is a serious side to Jim as he is certified with an array of qualifications including his Mountain Leaders Award, Mountain Bike Leader Award, Bike Mechanic, 4-Star Level 2 Kayak Instructor, Rescue Boat Operator Award and naturally his Advanced Wilderness First Aid Certificate is always up to date.
So today Adventurous Ewe takes small groups of intrepid travellers across the globe whether it be trekking, mountain climbing, cycling, kayaking, gorge walking, snow-shoeing or community projects. And not forgetting his own backyard, Jim also has an array of exciting adventures across the UK for small to large groups. So whether you’re an individual looking for an adventure or wanting to get a group of friends together for a trip of a lifetime or a charity or corporate organisation wishing to hold a bespoke event tailored to your needs, Jim and his team are here to help.
