We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Adventurous Ewe Guest Support & Admin Executive to join us and help shepherd our beloved adventurers and to continue to develop our sustainable tourism operations.

This role suits someone passionate about all things travel, confident in their communication and ability to influence, but lastly, you’ll be a collaborative and committed individual, who thrives on achieving high levels of customer satisfaction, extremely detail-oriented and capable of delivering work of the highest quality whilst sharing Adventurous Ewe’s core values of integrity, innovation, fun, passion, growth, and responsibility.  There is a lot of growth opportunity for the right person as we continue to evolve.

Since founding Adventurous Ewe in 2007, an integral part of our vision has always been to have a positive impact on the society and environment in which we operate. Being able to offer a genuine layer of thought to what is being offered is what helps experiences transcend traditional ways of travel and really capture the imagination.

A ‘day in the life’ of Adventurous Ewe’s Support & Admin guru would see you doing the following: 

Traveller guidance, support and feedback

  • Prioritising our travellers and consistently deliver exceptional and personable experiences at each touch point with Adventurous Ewe 
  • Provide ongoing administrative support to our travellers throughout their booking journey, ensuring they are all are well prepared, with accurate and correct communications and documentation so they are ready and well equipped to travel in a sustainable manner. Plus ensure we have all our travellers information in a timely manner to ensure trips are tailored to their needs
  • Building and fostering great rapport and building relationships with our travellers so they come back again and again
  • Ensure reviews and feedback are actively sought from all our travellers.

Creativity and digital marketing

  • Using social media and newsletters to effectively engage with our audience and drive web traffic and enquiries using emotive, inspiring and accurate content
  • Creative writing that is well researched and a strong attention to detail
  • Have an understanding of social media marketing with creating tailored and relevant engaging campaigns and content across social media platforms, with the aim of growing and engaging relevant audiences
  • Supporting with writing and publishing SEO-driven inspirational blog posts 
  • Maintaining third party reseller website content up to date
  • Help with preparing bespoke proposals for charity and corporate clients.

Collaboration and admin

  • Collaborating with Jim & Sue and our freelancers, crew and operators and fostering an environment of respect, acceptance, trust, and inclusivity 
  • Responding to guest enquiries, including creation of tailor-made itineraries and pricing as required
  • Establishing and maintaining strong and commercially viable traveller relationships
  • Effectively using existing systems and processes to manage booking enquiries, guest information, kit lists, itineraries, joining instructions, feedback and reviews
  • Being accountable for the quality of your work
  • Willingness and flexibility to help wherever needed in our small company operations
  • Make recommendations for improving systems and processes for a more efficient and traveller centric ways of working.

Sustainable operations and business growth

  • Demonstrating adaptability and innovation across diverse functions to drive business growth and make a positive impact on our sustainability development.

Events and weekend work

  • Willingness to attend weekend events and be a positive and personable ambassador of Adventurous Ewe for our participants, freelancers and suppliers
  • Readiness to assist with event preparation & packing and unpacking when needed
  • Help maintain kit storage in our warehouse.

Potential to get involved with new projects:

  • New website development
  • YouTube video content development and our channel categorising
  • Sustainable tourism contract tasks
  • Sustainable tourism Travelife Certified Award (the next step up from Travelife Partner Award)

A passion for travel is a must! In addition to that you’ll bring with you: 

  • A love of talking, with excellent enthusiastic communications, and the ability to build relationships with our travellers, peers, and suppliers
  • A love of writing, with excellent emotive and inspiring copy writing skills for our website, blogs, enewsletters and social media
  • A love of helping people, to ensure their experience with us is a personable one which has exceeded their expectations
  • Displaying a positive and enthusiastic work ethic and style with a willingness to always provide top notch customer service and advice
  • Having a great skill combination of hands-on event delivery and commercial thinking that is needed to balance the varied responsibilities of the role
  • Having strong self-motivation and proven ability to take initiative and complete work autonomously 
  • Having a digital mindset applied to data and information management
  • Having a creative and solution-focused mindset; you’ll be curious, love to think outside the box, and be innovative in your approach to everything
  • Having a genuine level of care and pride in the work that you do and the difference you can make to both our travellers and the sustainable growth of Adventurous Ewe.
  • Proficient use of core marketing software, including WordPress CMS, Mail Chimp, Facebook Creator Studio and Instagram and Microsoft Office software.

Hours

  • 20 hours per week commitment
  • £15 per hour
  • Possibility for extended hours during peak periods
  • Position is on a self-employed basis with potential to become a part time or full-time permanent position.

Internal Communications

As part of a small team in a small family business, you are integral to our collective success. This remote-working position requires self-motivation, an ability to manage your workload autonomously, natural organisation skills, acute commercial-awareness and a hunger to learn and deliver!

Effective communication is especially important when we’re all working remotely. As such we expect the following commitment to internal communications:

  • attend weekly video calls with Jim & Sue
  • attend at least one day per month with the team in North Wales
  • utilise collaborative tools to share and store company information, including but not limited to Google Drive and Microsoft software
