This striking shoreline, encompassing 185 million years of the Earth’s history, means you can trek many millions of years in geological time as you cover 22 miles in just one day.
With a more recent history of mining, shipwrecks and smuggling, this is a fascinating stretch of coastline with so many tales to tell. Your trekking adventure will take in some of its most spectacular scenery, from the renowned natural stone archway of Durdle Door to the picturesque Lulworth Cove, as you continually climb and descend the steep hills of the Jurassic Coast.
If the above dates do not suit you and you have a group of over 12 people, please get in touch as we’d be happy to set up a date that meets with your requirements between April – October (dependent on accommodation availability). Simply email: email@example.com or call 01492 588 069.
Make your way to the hostel to meet your fellow team-mates and Adventurous Ewe crew. Here you will have an event briefing in the early evening in preparation for your Jurassic Coast Trek.
If you are arriving by train, a transfer can be arranged for you at a set time from Wool rail station to the hostel if pre-booked one month prior to the event start date. Simply contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note, dinner is not included allowing you the flexibility to have what you wish.
After an early start and a hearty breakfast you will leave the seaside town of Osmigton on the start of your 22 mile trekking challenge. Trekking along the scenic path you will pass through coastal hamlet of Osmington Mills leaving the magnificent views of Weymouth Bay behind you.
With the path hugging the coastline you will spot one of Dorset’s most photographed and iconic landmarks, Durdle Door, an impressive natural limestone arch.
Having a break from the coastal cliffs, you will trek the undulating green hills before reaching the clear blue waters and beautiful white pebble beach of Lulworth Cove, marking approximately the halfway point of your trek. The perfect place to enjoy your packed lunch of local produce.
Following more of the coastline before heading inland, you will continually climb and descend the steep hills of the Jurassic Coast before reaching your finishing point at Corfe Castle. Corfe Castle is a fortification standing above the village of the same name on the Isle of Purbeck in the English county of Dorset. Built by William the Conqueror. The castle dates to the 11th century and commands a gap in the Purbeck Hills on the route between Wareham and Swanage and provides an epic setting to the finish of your Jurassic Coast Trek.

Responsible Event Management
Ethical and sustainable operations are at the heart of everything we do. As part of this we are aiming to ensure all our UK challenges are free from single use plastic. You can do your part by using refillable water bottles, such as Water-to-Go Bottles, and flasks during your event.
We operate by our ‘leave no trace ethos’:
Take nothing but photos,
Leave nothing but boot-prints,
Keep nothing but memories.
We are also very excited to have teamed up with leading climate change charity Cool Earth, who share our mission to protect the planet’s precious environment in a sustainable manner.
Our mission: to harness the power of travel to help conserve and protect the world’s precious natural environment, one epic adventure at a time.
Our goal: to ensure rainforest communities benefit from adventure tourism, and to educate and inspire our flock to help actively support these communities across the planet.
This partnership means that just by joining the flock at Adventurous Ewe, you will not only have an incredible experience, but you can do so by knowing you are actively supporting rainforest communities across the globe. To date our partnership has contributed to the further protection of eight acres of rainforest (that’s 2,000 trees), locking up to 2,167 tonnes of CO2 and we are determined for these number to grow significantly.
As the legend himself, Sir David Attenborough, said:
“Helping Cool Earth to halt tropical deforestation makes a real difference. Perhaps the biggest difference we will make in our whole lives.”
So, we will continue to invest a % of our revenue into supporting critical conservation projects around the world through Cool Earth and we invite you, our valuable flock, to do the same. Please give what you can and help save the world’s rainforests today by simply clicking on the ‘Adventurous Ewe’ link below. Just £2.50 will save 10 trees and lock up 10 tonnes of CO2. Together, we can all make a difference in helping preserve this precious and wonderful planet. #ewecandoit
