Overview
This is your chance to take on a brand-new challenge created exclusively for Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund — a full day of all-terrain adventure through the wild beauty of Snowdonia/Eryri, with two nights’ accommodation included in the grand medieval coastal town of Caernarfon. Each section of the journey is supported by experienced and friendly local Leaders.
Your day begins where the mountains meet the sea, cycling from Caernarfon’s coastline and past the mighty Royal fortress-palace of Caernarfon Castle. From here you’ll follow quiet lanes through rolling hills and distant farmlands of Snowdonia/Eryri National Park. When the landscape rises, you swap bikes for boots and set out on the quieter slopes of the Ranger Path, climbing towards the summit of Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa at 1,085m. Surrounded by sweeping ridgelines and the rugged dramatic peaks of the Welsh mountains, it’s a climb that rewards every step. After your summit moment, the descent follows the classic Llanberis Path.
Once back at lower levels, the challenge heads skyward again as you take on a high-ropes course — an aerial test of balance, nerve and fun above the forest floor. The final push unfolds on the water as you kayak across the glacial lake of Llyn Padarn, with Snowdon rising behind you as you paddle to the finish with a great sense of achievement.
It’s a tough, varied and incredibly rewarding day — and every mile helps support families facing the unimaginable. By fundraising £530pp, you’ll help Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund continue providing essential care for children living with cancer, just as they have for over 30 years.
If you’re after a meaningful challenge that explores Snowdonia’s quieter corners through a mix of bike, boots, ropes and paddling adventures, this is the one to take on.

Snowdon Challenge
Bike: approx. 12 miles (220m ascent / 180m descent)
Trek: approx. 10 miles (945m ascent / 1060m descent)
High Ropes: Aerial Obstacle Course
Kayak: approx. 2.5 miles
Following an early breakfast at your accommodation, you’ll meet at 8.00am for bike allocations and a safety briefing. After placing your kit bag in the support van, it’s time to begin your first leg of the challenge.
Your cycle route starts on the coast at Caernarfon, rolling past the imposing walls of Caernarfon Castle before joining a scenic cycle path along a disused railway line. It’s a gentle, flowing stretch that weaves through small villages and gradually leads you into quieter farmlands. As the landscape opens up, a sneaky final hill delivers you through the “back door” of Snowdon — a brilliant approach that gives you a real sense of entering the mountains.
At the base of the mountain, you’ll swap your bike for boots, collect your homemade packed lunch and begin the ascent of the highest peak in Wales. Your route follows the quieter Snowdon Ranger Path on the west side of the mountain, carving through open farmlands and climbing past lakes and rugged ridgelines all the way to the top. After a summit photo and a short breather, you’ll descend the more gradual Llanberis Path, finishing in Llanberis village.
Next up is the Aerial Challenge High Ropes Course — three levels of adventure featuring colourful net bridges, dangling ropes, hanging tyres, a suspended climbing wall, wobbly crossings and even a giant spiders’ web. It’s a brilliant way to test balance, nerve and head for heights.
The day ends on the water as you kayak around Llyn Padarn, completing a full circuit of the glacial lake before crossing the finish line and celebrating with a well-earned toast of bubbles with your teammates. Challenge complete.
All being well, you should finish around 6.00pm.
Return to Caernarfon for a celebratory meal (at your own expense).
