We Never Thought We’d Be Writing This
When Jim started Adventurous Ewe back in 2011, the ambition was never to win awards.
The goal was much simpler.
Create meaningful adventures. Travel responsibly. Work with great people. Leave places better than we found them. Build a company where relationships and people mattered more than numbers.
Fifteen years later, we’re incredibly proud to share that Adventurous Ewe has been nominated for the British Travel Awards 2026 in the category of “Best Travel Company for Adventure Travel – Small Operators”.
To be recognised alongside some of the biggest names in the industry is something we genuinely never expected.
But while our name may appear on the nomination, this isn’t really about us.
It’s about the thousands of people who have been part of the journey.
It’s about every traveller who has trusted us with their annual leave, their savings, their challenge, their dream adventure or sometimes even a major life milestone.
It’s about our local partners, the charities, corporate teams, mountain leaders, drivers, cooks, guides, porters, hosts and local communities who have welcomed our travellers around the world.
And it’s about the friendships and partnerships that have been built along the way.
Help Put Small Independent Adventure Travel on the Map

Vote for Adventurous Ewe in the British Travel Awards 2026
As a small independent family run operator, we’re up against companies with much larger audiences and passenger numbers. Every vote genuinely helps raise awareness of what we do, supports future bookings, strengthens our local partnerships and helps us continue creating adventures that connect people, places and purpose.
Please Help Us Spread the Word
If you’d like to support us even further, we’d be hugely grateful if you could share the voting link or QR code with family, friends, colleagues, fellow adventurers, charity supporters or anyone else who shares a love of meaningful travel.
Of course, only as widely as you’re comfortable with.
Every share and every vote helps introduce more people to responsible adventure travel and the incredible local communities, guides and partners who make these journeys possible.

Adventure Is Always a Team Effort
One of the things that has always mattered most to us is working with local people.
Not simply as suppliers.
Not as names on an itinerary.
But as genuine partners.
Over the years we’ve shared countless cups of tea, campfires, celebrations, challenges, route planning sessions, airport pickups, problem solving conversations and unforgettable moments with local teams across the globe.
Many of those relationships have lasted well over a decade.
When we shared news of our nomination, one of our long standing Nepal partners sent us a message that perfectly captured what these relationships mean to us:
“Congratulations! What an incredible milestone this is — a true moment to pause, reflect, celebrate, and feel immensely proud of everything Adventurous Ewe has achieved over the past 15 years. Building something so meaningful, inspiring, and enduring is no small feat, and you all deserve every bit of recognition coming your way.
We are genuinely proud to call you not just our partners, but our dear friends. On a personal level, working with you all has always felt a bit different from any other partnership we’ve had over the years. There’s a natural understanding between us, a shared spirit, and so many common values and ethos that make the relationship deeply meaningful.
I’ve already cast my vote, and you can be absolutely sure we’ll be pulling out all the stops on our side to rally as many votes as possible for Adventurous Ewe.
Wishing you all the very best — and cheering you on all the way!”
For us, that message means more than any award ever could.
Because adventure travel has never just been about mountains, trails, deserts, coastlines or summits.
It’s about people.
The local guide who proudly shares their home region.
The porter carrying equipment through their local landscapes.
The family welcoming travellers into a guesthouse.
The driver who becomes part of the team.
The conservation partners protecting wild places for future generations.
Those relationships are the foundation of every adventure we create.
Small Company. Big Adventures.
As a small independent family run business, we’ve always done things a little differently.
We don’t have large offices.
We don’t have huge marketing budgets.
What we do have is a passionate team, incredible local partners and a genuine belief that travel can be a force for good.
Every itinerary is built from first hand experience.
Every destination has been carefully chosen.
Every local partnership has been developed with long term relationships in mind.
We’re proud to be recognised through the Travelife Partner accreditation for our commitment to responsible tourism and continual improvement in sustainability.
We’re proud of the communities we support.
And we’re proud of the adventures we’ve shared with so many remarkable people over the past fifteen years.
Thank You
Whether you’ve travelled with us once, several times or are still dreaming about your first adventure, thank you.
Thank you for supporting a small independent business.
Thank you for embracing responsible travel.
Thank you for trusting us to help you explore some extraordinary corners of the world.
This nomination belongs just as much to our travellers, local teams, charity partners and supporters as it does to us.
Whatever happens next, we’re incredibly grateful to be on this journey together.
And if you’d like to support Adventurous Ewe in the British Travel Awards, we’d be hugely grateful for your vote.
Most importantly, thank you for being part of the story so far.
Here’s to the next adventure.
